Casual Educators – Little Diggers (Holsworthy Barracks, NSW) Salary: $36 – $47 per hour (inclusive of Worker Retention Payment, dependent on qualifications and experience) Little Diggers is a caring and encouraging childcare service situated within the Holsworthy army barracks. We provide childcare services not only to Defence personnel and their families but also to the wider local community. Our center operates from 6:30am to 6:00pm and offers space for up to 65 children, spread across three distinct rooms, including a nursery, toddler room, and preschool facility.
Little Diggers Early is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible Casual Educators to join our growing team at Holsworthy Barracks, NSW.

We offer ongoing casual hours, exposure to a variety of age groups, and the chance to work alongside a passionate and supportive team.
About the Role As a Casual Educator, you will:
- Support the delivery of engaging, inclusive, and high-quality early learning programs
- Work collaboratively with educators across multiple rooms and age groups
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Uphold strong child safety, supervision, and risk-management practices
What We’re Looking For Essential Requirements: - Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or working towards Certificate III with active progression through an approved RTO
- Minimum 1 year experience in early childhood education (long day care, preschool, or OSHC preferred)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work across different rooms and team environments
- Sound understanding of child safety and supervision practices
Compliance & Other Requirements - Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma training (or willingness to obtain)
- Australian Citizenship (required for Defence Base access)
- National Police Check (within 6 months)
- Reliable transport, as public transport options are limited
