About the Role

As a casual cook, you'll play a key role in supporting children's health and wellbeing by preparing balanced, nutritious meals and catering to dietary and cultural needs.

Shifts range from short-term cover to ongoing casual work across a range of centres in Western Sydney.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks in line with centre menus and nutrition guidelines
• Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Managing allergies, intolerances, and special dietary requirements with care and accuracy
• Working independently while communicating effectively with centre teams
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and safe

What You'll Need

Must have:

• NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Full Australian working rights
• Flexibility to accept last-minute and same-day shifts, including shifts that come through in the morning

Highly regarded:

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a childcare or similar setting
• Driver's licence and access to a car
• Flexibility to travel across Western Sydney
• Valid Police Check
