About the Role
As the 2nd Early Childhood Teacher, you will:
Collaborate with the existing ECT and educational team to deliver high-quality educational programs
Support children's learning, wellbeing and development through intentional teaching practices
Build strong relationships with children, families and the wider community
Contribute to curriculum planning, critical reflection and continuous improvement processes
Support educators in implementing the Early Years Learning Framework
Foster a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment for all children
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating meaningful learning opportunities that support every child to reach their full potential. You will be a strong communicator, a collaborative team member and someone who is excited to work alongside another ECT to strengthen teaching practice and educational outcomes across the service.
Essential:
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education
Current Blue Card
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
Current Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025 – Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk, or equivalent approved training)
Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG), National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for children's learning and development
Desirable:
Previous experience working in long day care or kindergarten programs
Experience supporting curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives
Knowledge of inclusive practices and contemporary early childhood pedagogy
