The Opportunity
The Associate Lecturer in Policing Studies plays a key role in delivering high‑quality teaching and research within the Associate Degree in Applied Policing based at the NSW Police Academy in Goulburn. You will contribute to preparing students to become operational members of the NSW Police Force through contemporary, integrated, and practice‑aligned education. You will also be part of a research community spanning policing, criminology and cyber-security and behaviour.
This position supports the delivery of curriculum across a range of policing topics, including operational policing, investigative practices, criminal law and procedure, road safety, professional ethics, community policing, and leadership. You will also participate in curriculum development, ensuring teaching is aligned with current industry standards and evidence‑based practice.
Working within the School of Social Sciences, you will engage collaboratively with colleagues, the NSW Police Force, and key stakeholders across the program. This role requires maintaining strong professional relationships, participating in industry training, and contributing to the ongoing development of a supportive learning environment.
