An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate Centre Director to lead the opening of our brand-new service in Clear Island Waters.
Licensed for 130 children, this new centre presents a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader who is motivated by building high-performing teams, establishing strong operational foundations, and creating an exceptional learning environment from the ground up. We are seeking a confident and inspiring leader with excellent people management skills, a collaborative approach, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.

As Centre Director, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a brand-new team while fostering a positive and inclusive culture for children, families, and educators. You will be supported by an experienced Area Manager and dedicated Support Management Team, allowing you to operate autonomously while having access to ongoing mentorship and professional guidance.
This hands-on leadership role combines strategic centre management with active engagement in the day-to-day life of the service. You will be responsible for leading and developing your team, ensuring compliance and quality outcomes, and building strong, positive relationships with children, families, staff, and the local community to establish a thriving and connected learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Operations
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre including staffing, enrolments, budgets and compliance
Lead recruitment and support the ongoing professional development of educators
Drive the delivery of high-quality education and care
Foster a collaborative, supportive and positive team culture
Day to day centre Management
Uphold and promote the company’s values and philosophy
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements
Build strong relationships with families and community stakeholders
Promote a culture focused on safety, wellbeing and child-first practices
Administration & Quality
Maintain Quality Assurance and accreditation standards
Implement VEYLDF and ensure adherence to NQF and NQS frameworks
Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and compliance records
About You:
We are looking for a confident and inspiring leader who brings:
4+ years’ previous experience as a Centre Director
A Diploma or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education (ACECQA approved)
Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQF, NQS and Child Safe Standards
Excellent leadership, communication and mentoring skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Experience using Owna and Microsoft Office Suites
You will also hold current:
Working With Children Check
Current Police Check
First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certifications
Food Safety Supervisor certification
Geccko Child Safety Certificate
