About the Role

Prospective Institute of Higher Education is seeking motivated and passionate Lecturers to deliver high-quality teaching in Information Technology and related disciplines at bachelor and postgraduate level. Whether full-time or sessional, you will be part of a collaborative academic community committed to excellence in learning and teaching.

You will contribute to curriculum development and delivery across the IT and Management courses that we intend to deliver.

Working under the direction of the Course Coordinator, you will ensure students receive rich, current, and practically-grounded learning experiences. Sessional lecturers are required to offer 1 hour of consultation per week per unit; full-time lecturers, 2 hours per week per unit.

Key Responsibilities

Course Development

•     Develop and deliver IT / Management units

•     Contribute to continuous curriculum improvement

•     Participate in regular evaluation cycles

•     Provide feedback and support for peers

Learning & Teaching

•     Assess and grade student assessment tasks

•     Manage LMS unit website and content

•     Maintain accurate student attendance and grade records

•     Contribute to Institute course administration

Scholarship

•     Engage in scholarly activity to maintain currency

•     Integrate advances into teaching practice

•     Participate in academic professional development

Student Support

•     Provide regular student consultation hours

•     Foster an inclusive learning environment

•     Collaborate with fellow lecturers across the Institute

Required Qualifications & Experience

•     Qualification in Information Technology or Management & Commerce at least one level above the course being taught (per the Institute's Staff Qualifications and Equivalence Policy)

•     3+ years' experience in leading, designing, and delivering learning and teaching units in information technology

•     Demonstrated experience in unit coordination, assessment design, and moderation

•     Active scholarship as evidenced by publications, conference presentations, or professional association membership

•     Knowledge of contemporary teaching, learning, and assessment principles relevant to the IT discipline

•     Excellent oral and written communication skills

•     Proven ability to motivate and mentor students and peers

•     Industry or professional experience is desirable but not essential
