The Trustee for GCLC Unit Trust trading as Gold Coast Learning Centre is looking for a Accounting Trainer and Assesor.

Join our team as an Accounting Trainer and play a key role in shaping the next generation of accounting professionals. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable trainer to deliver high-quality vocational education to our international and domestic students and contribute to the ongoing success of our college.
About the role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Accounting Trainer to join our RTO on the Gold Coast. Reporting to the Academic Manager, you will be working with a vibrant cohort of international students in a hands-on vocational environment. You will deliver Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Accounting, helping students build the practical skills and confidence they need for real career pathways.
What you'll be doing
Deliver engaging accounting lessons across Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels, aligned to industry outcomes
Plan lessons, assess students, track progress and maintain accurate attendance records
Mark and manage student assessments in a timely manner and maintain compliant student files
Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports student wellbeing, engagement and behaviour
Provide regular reports on student progress and academic guidance through consultation
Facilitate a range of teaching activities, including lectures, tutorials and simulated practical sessions
What we're looking for
Undertake regular VET and industry professional development to maintain currency
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, standards and regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel; experience with LMS or willing to learn
Proven experience teaching in an RTO or VET environment
Excellent communication skills with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
Flexible, adaptable and able to break down complex topics for varied learners
Must-have requirements
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA or CA qualification
Minimum 2 years' relevant vocational industry experience
Excellent written and spoken English
