About The Youth Partnership

The Youth Partnership is committed to empowering young people through meaningful workplace learning experiences. We work collaboratively with schools, training providers and industry partners to coordinate high-quality work placements that support students undertaking Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses for the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC).

About The Role

Due to continued growth in student demand and placement activity, we are seeking an additional Work Placement Coordinator to join our established and supportive team.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will coordinate workplace learning opportunities for HSC students undertaking VET courses through schools and External VET (EVET) providers.

The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with schools, EVET providers and host employers, coordinating placement requests, and facilitating workplace learning opportunities that support course requirements and industry outcomes.

🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 2:30pm

🗓 Work Pattern: School Term Only (40 weeks per year)

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer work placements for HSC students undertaking VET and EVET courses

  • Liaise with schools, EVET providers and host employers

  • Identify and coordinate suitable host employer opportunities from an established database in response to placement requests from schools and EVET providers

  • Manage student registrations, placement records and compliance documentation

  • Respond to placement changes, cancellations and venue referrals

  • Support placements coordinated directly by The Youth Partnership, including virtual and group workplace learning programs

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, schools, EVET providers and community stakeholders

  • Support employer engagement initiatives and industry relationship activities

  • Contribute to promotional materials, resources and program initiatives

  • Represent The Youth Partnership at meetings, events and industry forums

  • Undertake other duties as required

About You

You are highly organised, enjoy building relationships and are passionate about creating opportunities for young people through workplace learning.

You will bring:

  • Strong administration and organisational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently

  • A collaborative and positive approach to teamwork

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilise industry-specific databases and systems, including Pathways and related online platforms

  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills

  • A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service

  • Experience working within education, training, community services or a customer-focused coordination role will be highly regarded

Essential Requirements

  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

  • Current Driver Licence and access to a vehicle

Employment Conditions

This position has been created to support the continued growth of our work placement program. The role is funded under our current service contract through to 31 December 2026. The Youth Partnership has a strong history of successfully delivering work placement services and intends to participate in future tender opportunities. Continued employment beyond this date will be subject to future contract and funding arrangements.
