The position 

Reporting to the Head of Secondary, as a Secondary Mathematics Teacher, you will be a passionate and influential Educator with a demonstrated ability to guide our Lakes Learners in their discovery of mathematics as a powerful tool for unlocking the logic behind the world around them.

You will spark curiosity, build confidence, and turn problem‑solving into a creative journey. An adventure into patterns, puzzles and possibilities, where you will guide their development of critical thinking skills to shape their futures.

You will develop and deliver a contemporary, innovative curriculum which is underpinned by clear expectations about high quality learning outcomes in a culturally diverse society.

• Demonstrated experience as a Secondary Mathematics Teacher including an ability to apply the QCAA Senior Syllabus.

• Demonstrated ability to embed mathematical proficiency - understanding, fluency, reasoning and probelm-solving - into a contemporary mathematics curriculum.

• Current tertiary qualifications as specific to the role.

• Current Queensland College of Teachers registration.

• Commitment to the Uniting Church ethos and an inclusive College community.
