About the role

Are you passionate about community engagement, lifelong learning, and delivering outstanding customer service? We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Library Programs Support Officer to join our Libraries team and contribute to the delivery of innovative and inclusive library programs and services across our community.

In this dynamic and customer-focused role, you will support the planning, promotion and delivery of a diverse range of library programs and activities that enrich the lives of community members of all ages. Working collaboratively across the library service, you will help create welcoming library spaces, support outreach initiatives, and ensure visitors receive exceptional customer service.

In this role, the key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Supporting the delivery and promotion of library programs and activities
• Assisting with the Home Library Service for housebound residents
• Promoting library resources, services and collections
• Creating promotional and social media content
• Evaluating programs and events to support continuous improvement
• Providing circulation, information and customer service
• Participating in evening and weekend rostered shifts
• Supporting outreach and community engagement activities
• Maintaining compliance with WHS, EEO, risk management and Child Safe Standards

About the person

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A Diploma in Library and Information Services, and/ or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience, together with a commitment to ongoing professional development
• Experience delivering engaging, creative and innovative community programs
• Experience working in a customer-focused team environment
• Experience delivering circulation and information services in a public library setting
• A Current Working with Children Check
• A Current C Driver's Licence
