In compliance with the Regulation 168 child-safe recruitment laws, our robust screening process requires all applicants to clear extensive background checks before hire. This includes official online validation of your Working with Children Check (WWCC), verification of ACECQA-approved qualifications, standard NQA ITS suitability checks, and structured scenario-based child safety interview questions. We also conduct mandatory, targeted verbal reference checks with previous employers regarding past conduct and integrity to ensure a secure environment for our children.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated, professional Nursery Room Educator to join our cohesive team on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality, responsive care for our infants and toddlers, creating a secure environment that fosters early discovery and development. You will work closely with families to build strong partnerships based on trust and clear communication.

From your first day, you will be paired with an experienced mentor and backed by a management team genuinely invested in your career progression. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your curriculum skills, as you will jointly design and implement our educational programming under the direct guidance of your mentor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Child Protection & Safety: Actively advocate for child safety by monitoring, identifying, and reporting any concerns in line with mandatory reporting requirements.

  • Supervision Excellence: Maintain rigorous supervision of infants and toddlers during all play, learning, routine, and sleep periods.

  • Responsive Care: Deliver high-quality care during routines, including feeds, nappy changes, and rest periods, following strict safety protocols.

  • Collaborative Programming: Jointly design and implement intentional, play-based learning experiences under your mentor's guidance.

  • Documentation: Observe and document children's progress, celebrating individual milestones and learning dispositions.

  • Family Partnerships: Build professional, trusting relationships with parents and guardians through daily engagement.

  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with room colleagues to maintain a safe, organised, and positive environment.

Selection Criteria

  • Experience Requirement: Minimum of 2 years of professional working experience in an early childhood setting is essential.

  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience in a Room Leader or leadership capacity is highly considered.

  • Qualifications: A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an equivalent qualification recognized by ACECQA.

  • Compliance & Safety: Current Child Protection training, First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training, alongside a verified Working with Children Check (WWCC).

  • Child Safe Knowledge: A strong understanding of contemporary child-safe practices and familiarity with the NSW Child Safe Standards.

  • Collaborative Mindset: A strong team player who supports colleagues and values clear, open professional communication.

  • Curriculum Knowledge: A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
