About us

Pretty Beach Community Preschool is a not-for-profit community-based preschool, nestled between the Bouddi National, Killcare beach and the Bay. Located in Pretty Beach on the NSW Central Coast. The Preschool provides a high-quality play-based program for children aged 3-6 years. We are a nurturing 39-place Preschool operating from 8.15-3.45 (staff 8-4) Mon-Fri during the NSW Public School terms only.

Pretty Beach Community Preschool is proudly assessed by the NSW Department of Education as Exceeding the National Quality Standards in all 7 areas.

A Rare opportunity exists for two Permanent Part Time educators to join our experienced, dedicated team.

ROLE 1-

Early Childhood Teacher P/T Thursdays and Fridays

ROLE 2-

Diploma Qualified P/T 4 days a week. (Would Consider a Diploma training ECT)



Essential Criteria

  • A current NSW Employee Working with Children Check

  • (ROLE 1)A recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree level of qualification.

  • (ROLE 2) A recognised Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

  • Completed Child Safe and Child Protection Training

  • A current First Aid certificate as approved by ACECQA, along with current approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates

  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working with children with additional needs is highly valued.

  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience required


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging educational program for children aged 3 to 5 years, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework V2.0

  • Foster each child's curiosity, independence, and sense of belonging through responsive and inclusive practice

  • Build genuine partnerships with families and the local community, keeping children's safety and wellbeing at the centre of every interaction (we are a Child Safe Organisation and expect all educators to adhere to the NSW Child Safe Standards)

  • Monitor and assess children's development- a working knowledge and experience programming and planning using the EYLF and NQF

  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture and participate in ongoing professional learning.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced educators supporting children aged 3–5 years within our community-based preschool setting. You will contribute to rich learning experiences through nature play, risky play opportunities and authentic child-led investigations.
