About the role

Early Learning Consultancy Group Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in Bridgetown, Gingin, Waroona or Sunshine WA. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in shaping the early learning experiences of young children. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will create a nurturing, stimulating environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically. This role is fundamental to our mission of providing quality early childhood education and care that supports each child's individual growth and development.

What you'll be doing

  1. Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning activities and experiences that cater to the individual needs and interests of children

  2. Observing and assessing children's progress and development, documenting milestones and sharing observations with parents and carers

  3. Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes exploration, creativity and play-based learning

  4. Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues to foster a sense of community and belonging

  5. Supporting children's transitions and managing behaviour with patience, consistency and positive guidance strategies

  6. Collaborating with other educators and support staff to ensure coordinated and responsive care

  7. Maintaining accurate records, including attendance, incident reports and developmental portfolios

  8. Adhering to health, safety and hygiene standards, including duty of care responsibilities

  9. Communicating regularly with parents and carers about children's learning, development and wellbeing

  10. Staying current with early childhood education practices and professional development opportunities


What we're looking for

  1. A relevant qualification such as a Bachelor of Early Childhood or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood or Master of Teaching Early Childhood or equivalent recognised qualification

  2. Registration or eligibility to register with the relevant early childhood regulatory body

  3. A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)

  4. Current First Aid and CPR certification

  5. Demonstrated experience working with young children in an early learning setting

  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children and families

  7. A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to inclusive practice

  8. The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

  9. Flexibility, adaptability and a calm, patient approach to working with young children

  10. Knowledge of child development and play-based learning approaches

  11. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  12. Experience with family engagement and communication strategies is desirable

  13. Familiarity with early learning frameworks and standards is advantageous
