No travel. One central location. Permanent role. — First Aid Trainer (Canberra)

About the Role

Tired of driving between worksites, schools and company offices to deliver training? So are we — which is why we don't do it.

CBD College is seeking an experienced First Aid Trainer for our Canberra centre, based in Phillip (near Woden). All training is delivered on-site at the one location — no travel, no commuting between clients, no early starts in the car.

We're offering permanent, steady employment with an immediate start:

  • Permanent full-time (5 days per week, including Saturdays), or

  • We'll also consider two permanent part-timers (3–4 days per week each, including a Saturday)

We're looking for professional, well-presented and well-spoken trainers with excellent communication and organisational skills.

What's on Offer

  • A permanent role with one fixed, central location — no travel

  • A genuinely steady week, not ad-hoc casual shifts

  • On-the-job training, paid PD and other benefits

  • A dynamic, fast-growing organisation where all voices are valued and great people are at the heart of what we do

About You

You must hold ALL of the following:

  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or TAE40116; or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

  • HLTAID012, HLTAID011 and HLTAID009

  • HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid (required before you start with CBD College)

You must be available to start immediately.

How to Apply

Please email scans of the above qualifications along with a current resume and a cover letter written specifically for this role (not a generic, catch-all letter). Applications missing any of these will not be considered.

  • Place the reference "CBD 428" at the top of your resume and cover letter

  • Include 3 referees (names, positions, phone and email) — all people you've worked with

  • Email your complete application to Matthew Gee (CBD College) at mat••••@cbdcollege.edu.au, or apply via the link below

No recruitment companies, please — individual applicants only. Questions can be emailed to Matthew Gee at the same address. Applicants selected for interview will be notified by email.

We look forward to hearing from you.
