Assistant Director / 2IC 
Sparrow Early Learning Victoria Point
5 Day/ Part-time Position

As our right-hand hero (also known as 2IC), you’ll be the go-to support for the Service Manager — helping to keep our day-to-day magic running smoothly! From making sure we meet all the important compliance goals to cheering on your team, you’ll be a key part of what makes our service shine.

You’ll bring energy, creativity, and a big heart — designing playful learning experiences, sparking curiosity, and helping educators feel confident and supported every step of the way. In this role, you’ll lead by example, create a safe and joy-filled space for little learners, and build meaningful connections with families, children, your team, and the community.

This is not a non-contact role. It’s a hands-on position built on relationships, professional trust, and visible presence within services. If you’re ready to wear many hats (leader, listener, learning guide, and fun-bringer), this role might just be your perfect fit!

What you’ll need:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care

• Minimum 2 years experience in a current Second in Charge role

• Strong knowledge & understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards, 

• Current Working with Children Check

• Mandatory National Child Safety Training

• First Aid and CPR certificates including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training..

• Confidence when communicating with all levels of management.

• A strong ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive culture within our service
