About the Role
As a Trainer and Assessor, you will manage your student cohort from enrolment through to completion, providing guidance, support, assessment, and encouragement throughout their learning journey.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering engaging and interactive training sessions.
Assessing student work and providing meaningful feedback.
Supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Conducting orientations, progress reviews, and workplace visits.
Building relationships with employers and industry partners.
Maintaining compliance and student records within a Student Management System.
Contributing to continuous improvement and quality outcomes.
Supporting students to successfully transition into employment within the care sector.
What We're Looking For
Essential
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
Relevant qualifications in Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing Support and /or Disability
Minimum 2 years' experience delivering and assessing vocational education and training.
Recent hands-on industry experience in aged care and disability support within the last 2 years will be highly regarded.
Experience using aXcelerate or a similar Student Management System.
Strong understanding of competency-based training and assessment.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment.
Current driver's licence and willingness to conduct workplace visits.
A genuine commitment to student engagement, retention, and successful outcomes.
Desirable
Experience delivering government-funded training programs, including SQW or similar initiatives.
Experience supporting learners with diverse learning, literacy, numeracy, and digital needs.
