About the Role

As a Trainer and Assessor, you will manage your student cohort from enrolment through to completion, providing guidance, support, assessment, and encouragement throughout their learning journey.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering engaging and interactive training sessions.

• Assessing student work and providing meaningful feedback.

• Supporting students with diverse learning needs.

• Conducting orientations, progress reviews, and workplace visits.

• Building relationships with employers and industry partners.

• Maintaining compliance and student records within a Student Management System.

• Contributing to continuous improvement and quality outcomes.

• Supporting students to successfully transition into employment within the care sector.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).

• Relevant qualifications in Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing Support and /or Disability

• Minimum 2 years' experience delivering and assessing vocational education and training.

• Recent hands-on industry experience in aged care and disability support within the last 2 years will be highly regarded.

• Experience using aXcelerate or a similar Student Management System.

• Strong understanding of competency-based training and assessment.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment.

• Current driver's licence and willingness to conduct workplace visits.

• A genuine commitment to student engagement, retention, and successful outcomes.

Desirable

• Experience delivering government-funded training programs, including SQW or similar initiatives.

• Experience supporting learners with diverse learning, literacy, numeracy, and digital needs.
