Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia is inviting expressions of interest from passionate, industry-engaged Design Educators (Higher Education) to join our academic team at our flagship Redfern campus in Sydney.
This round is open to candidates who possess one or more of the following skills;
Digital Design / Graphic Design Skills (ADOBE, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Pattern-making / Garment Construction (Advanced)
StyleCAD Digital Pattern-making
This is a casual teaching opportunity for experienced and inspiring professionals who are ready to help shape the next generation of Australian designers within one of the country’s most recognised and creatively driven private design institutes.

This expression of interest round is for teaching opportunities connected with the upcoming trimester commencing immediately.
Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching, studio and workshop experiences to higher education students in areas including Fashion Design and Creative Direction and Styling
Inspire students through contemporary, industry-informed teaching practice that supports both creative exploration and technical development
Provide thoughtful feedback, mentoring and academic guidance to support student growth, confidence and progression
Work within Whitehouse course frameworks, learning outcomes and curriculum materials to ensure a high-quality and consistent student experience
Potentially contribute to assessment, moderation and academic administration processes in line with institutional expectations
Support the delivery of an exceptional on-campus learning environment that reflects Whitehouse’s premium educational experience
Ideally relevant tertiary qualifications in design. Industry experience also considered.
Significant teaching experience within higher education or tertiary design education
Demonstrated expertise in one or more design disciplines, particularly Fashion Design, Creative Direction and Styling, or related creative practice
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, engage and mentor emerging designers
Excellent organisational skills and a professional, student-centred approach
A genuine passion for design education and a desire to contribute to a dynamic, creative academic community
Industry experience and current professional practice will be highly regarded
A Current Working with Children Check (WWC) or ability to apply for one
Police Check
