Wilderness School is a non-denominational day and boarding girl’s school educating students from Early Learning Centre through to Year 12. Since 1884, Wilderness School has prepared girls to be adventurous, courageous, responsible, and respectful learners and leaders. We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual to join Wilderness School as a Chess Coordinator, supporting the growth, development and success of our student chess program.
Reporting to the Deputy Principal – Student Experience and working closely with the Chess Head Coach, you will provide coaching and administrative support to students participating in the South Australia Junior Chess League competition. You will coordinate practices and competition evenings, mentor students in developing their chess skills, and contribute to a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation, teamwork and sportsmanship.
This casual position includes after-school training sessions and evening competition commitments during the chess season, with occasional additional duties as required. The role is commencing ASAP.
