Role Overview:

We are looking for thoughtful and enthusiastic English tutors who enjoy working with younger high school students. The role involves supporting Year 7 to 10 students in building strong writing, comprehension and analytical skills in line with NESA outcomes.

What You'll Do:

• Teach structured small-group or one-on-one English lessons (Years 7–12)

• Provide clear and practical feedback on student writing tasks

• Use provided Exceed materials and adapt to suit student level

• Monitor attendance and learning progress

• Communicate with students in a warm and professional manner

Selection Criteria:

• High academic results in English (Band 6 or equivalent); university students studying English, Law, Education or Humanities are encouraged to apply

• Strong written communication and grammar skills

• Experience with tutoring or working with young people preferred

• Prior tutoring or youth work experience is mandatory for this position

• Reliable, responsible, and genuinely interested in student progress

• Able to work in-centre during after-school or weekend hours

• Australian citizenship is required for this position
