We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head of Operations, Compliance & Child Safety to oversee the operational performance, regulatory compliance, child safety framework, and quality outcomes of our services.
This senior leadership position will be responsible for supporting our Nominated Supervisors, ensuring compliance across approximately seven services, strengthening operational systems, championing child safety, and driving excellence throughout the organisation.
Reporting directly to the Directors, you will provide leadership, guidance, and operational support to Nominated Supervisors and leadership teams across the organisation.
You will be responsible for ensuring all services operate in accordance with legislative requirements, Child Safe Standards, organisational policies, safeguarding obligations, and best-practice frameworks while driving continuous improvement and quality outcomes.
Lead and oversee the implementation of Evergreen Learning's Child Safety Framework across all services.
Ensure compliance with Child Safe Standards, child protection legislation, mandatory reporting obligations, and organisational child safety policies.
Promote a strong child-safe culture where children's rights, voices, wellbeing, and safety are prioritised.
Ensure all staff understand and adhere to child safety responsibilities, codes of conduct, and safeguarding practices.
Monitor and review child safety systems, policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple Early Learning Centres.
Support, coach, and mentor Nominated Supervisors and leadership teams.
Monitor service performance, staffing, occupancy, and operational efficiency.
Assist with workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
Support service acquisitions, transitions, and new service openings.
Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
Conduct regular compliance audits and service reviews.
Lead Assessment and Rating preparation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and implement risk management and quality assurance processes.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development to Nominated Supervisors.
Promote a positive culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and child safety.
Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent ACECQA-approved teaching qualification.
Extensive Multi site leadership experience within Early Childhood Education and Care.
Demonstrated experience managing or supporting multiple services.
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law, National Regulations, and Child Safe Standards.
Exceptional understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and risk management practices.
Current Working With Children Check.
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel between services.
