ABOUT THE ROLE

Barker College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced, innovative and enthusiastic School Ministry Youth Worker located on our Hornsby Campus. 

This will be a full-time (1.0FTE) teaching role (with a 2-year fixed term contract) commencing 1 January 2027 (New Staff Orientation is 20 January 2027).

The successful applicant will be willing and able to teach Christian Studies (0.6FTE), be suitably qualified to teach another subject (0.2FTE) and operate as a School Ministry Youth Worker (0.2FTE). The role will also require involvement in the voluntary student Christian Group (Cru). The School Ministry Youth Worker will meet regularly with groups of students for Bible Study and work with the Chaplaincy team to fostering and nurture spiritual growth across the School. Additionally, the role will involve a pastoral care group and involvement in the co-curricular program.
