FLASCA Assistant Co-ordinator
Position: OSHC Assistant Co-ordinator
Location: Forest Lodge After School Care (FLASCA)
Employment Type: Full-Time (with flexible hours during term and vacation periods)
Forest Lodge After School Care (FLASCA) is a well-established, community-focused, not-for-profit OSHC service located on the grounds of Forest Lodge Public School. Licensed for 160 children and operating across two rooms, we have a strong team, engaged families and supportive parent committee.
We are seeking a passionate and capable Assistant Coordinator to help lead our much-loved service and continue building on its strong foundations.
About the Role
As the Assistant Co-ordinator, you will support the coordinator to lead a team of 15+ educators and oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies and procedures.
You will work alongside another experienced and committed Assistant Co-ordinator, supported by a bookkeeper and an external consultant who provides operational, compliance and administrative guidance. This is a hands-on leadership role, with time spent both managing operations and engaging directly with children and families.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care as Responsible Person.
Maintain a visible presence on the floor, building positive relationships with children and families.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures.
Assist the coordinator to lead, mentor and support a team of educators, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
Liaise with the school, parent-run Committee and families to maintain strong communication and partnerships.
Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for children, staff and families.
Ensure documentation, reporting and record-keeping are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
About You

Has experience in a similar leadership role or is ready to step into one.
Can confidently work in a medium-to-large service.
Is passionate about high-quality care and education for school-aged children.
Demonstrates strong leadership skills, including experience with staffing engagement.
Communicates clearly and builds positive relationships with children, families, staff and the wider community.
