We are seeking an experienced Science & Chemistry Teacher to commence in Term 3, 2026. As a full-time teacher, you will work collaboratively with your colleagues to deliver a vibrant curriculum to your students and possess a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy in these areas. You will use teaching strategies that cater to the needs of a diverse student group and differentiate the curriculum to adapt to students' needs.
As the classroom teacher, you will be responsible for the delivery of a holistic education, including;
- Creation of a nurturing learning environment which is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with curriculum, policies and practices
- Effective planning, implementation and reviewing of learning programs;
- Effective management of students in the classroom and wider school community;
- Effective planning, implementation and reviewing of learning programs;
- Maintaining professional standards as defined by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers;
- Actively support student wellbeing and pastoral care in the classroom and across the wider school community; and
- Adhering to and upholding the School’s Code of Conduct, as outlined in the Code of Conduct for Anglican Schools and Education & Care Services.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience as well as:
- Current full registration as a teacher in Queensland, registered with, or eligible for registration with, the Queensland College of Teachers.
- Knowledge and experience in working with Senior Secondary Chemistry curriculum.
- The ability to work with students individually or in small groups.
- Experience in developing classroom management strategies for students with challenging behaviours.
- Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice, and engagement.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to engaging positively with colleagues, students, parents, and carers to achieve the best outcomes for students.
- Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and the Anglican ethos of the School.
