ACARA is seeking a seeking a Curriculum Officer, National Priority Projects to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of curriculum updates, resources and support materials focused to support a deeper understanding of Jewish Australians’ history and culture; support an understanding, and rejection, of all forms of antisemitism; and develop an understanding and expression of Australian values. 

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of education, research and public policy, collaborating with experts and stakeholders across Australia. 

We are recruiting for two fixed-term opportunities: 

• One part-time position (0.5 FTE) 

• One full-time position (1 FTE) 

About the position:   

• Develop evidence-based curriculum content, resources and support materials for a high-profile national project. 

• Conduct research and translate complex information into practical, engaging curriculum materials for schools. 

• Work with education authorities, academics and community stakeholders to inform curriculum development and implementation. 

• Contribute to project delivery by identifying risks, preparing briefings and supporting stakeholder engagement activities. 

To be successful, you will have:   

• Tertiary qualifications in education or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.  

• Experience in curriculum development, teaching practice or education-related projects. 

• Strong research, analytical and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. 

• The ability to build productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams. 

• Sound judgement, adaptability and the ability to deliver quality outcomes in a dynamic and sensitive policy environment.

ACARA offers an attractive salary range, commencing at $128,179 base per annum (plus superannuation).
