Flinders Early Learning Centre is located in a rainforest setting alongside our Matthew Flinders Anglican College Prep to Year 12 campus.  The centre supports 120 families with children from three-to six-years of age through a Reggio Emilia approach and creative Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs. The Centre implements the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines curriculum frameworks and operates Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, 48 weeks of the year, including school holidays.

Our Flinders Early Learning Centre (FELC) has recently received a glowing quality assessment and ratings process, exceeding expectations in all seven quality areas of the National Quality Standards. The result is reflective of the exceptional team, dedicated and inspirational leadership, and a shared desire for genuine connection and positive outcomes for children, families and the wider community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking casual team members to join our team, working across Monday to Friday between 7.30am  to 6:00 pm. Casual hours available immediately. 

If you have a genuine passion for working in early childhood education and also:

• have the ability to assist in planning programs and documenting children's learning.

• be an active contributor within a team.

• bring positive energy and enthusiasm to their role.

• have the ability to understand and adhere to centre policies, procedures and operational practices at all times.

• value, prioritise and advocate for play in children’s learning and development.

• create and maintain long-lasting connections with children, families, educators and the local community.

ABOUT YOU

• Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

• Current QLD Working with Children Check clearance or the ability to obtain.

• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with staff and families.

• Intermediate computer skills. 

• Demonstrated commitment to providing quality early education and care.

• Be prepared to work a spread of hours across the weekdays between 7.30 am and 6.00 pm. 

• An understanding of and commitment to child protection and the ethos of an Anglican school.
