Devonport Child Care Centres Inc. is an inclusive Early Learning Service, with a motivated and inspired team of dedicated educators. We are a community based, not-for-profit organisation, providing education and care for children from birth to 12 years across two centre-based services and five outside school hours services.
Due to staff movement, an opportunity exists to step into an educator role at Elanora Children's Centre, working over 4-5 days each week, up to 38 hours.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children in our care.
Work collaboratively with other educators to deliver the best possible outcomes for children.
Contribute to and maintain learning environments for children that are engaging and fun.
Foster strong relationships with parents and families, promoting open communication and collaboration with a child centric focus.
Adhere to all Devonport Child Care Centres Inc. policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will have or be working towards a Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services.
A thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework, EYLF and relevant frameworks and legislation.
Sound knowledge of child safeguarding and the national principles for child safe organisations.
Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
Have or be willing to obtain First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates.
Selection Criteria
Strong understanding of child development and learning through play.
Proven knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proven knowledge of health, hygiene and safety practices in an early learning environment
