IGS Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) provides vibrant After School Care (3pm to 6pm) and Vacation Care (8am to 6pm) programs for IGS students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Children learn and grow through stimulating play and leisure experiences with friends and enjoy a large variety of activities and experiences in our exceptional campus facilities.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Coordinator to lead our After School Care and Vacation Care programs at International Grammar School.

As the Nominated Supervisor, the Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a supportive and diverse school community committed to excellence in all Junior School programs.

The Coordinator will oversee the delivery of engaging, high-quality programs that promote children’s safety, wellbeing, learning and development compliant with responsibilities under the National Law and National Regulations.

The Coordinator will enjoy working full shifts from approximately 10am to 6pm within a designated OSHC office space on campus alongside the Educational Leader. 

We are a Child Safe organisation with strong practices that place the protection and rights of children as paramount.

Essential criteria:

  • Experience in OSHC, school-aged care or early childhood leadership

  • ACECQA-recognised Certificate III or Diploma in School-Age Education and Care, or a relevant tertiary qualification (desirable)

  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place

  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills

  • Demonstrated integrity and attitudes consistent with child‑safe and inclusive values

  • Sound understanding of child safety responsibilities, including current knowledge of relevant child protection legislation and the Child Safe Standards

  • Understanding of and willingness to fulfil mandatory reporting and escalation obligations in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures.

  • National Child Safety Training certificate of completion or willingness to obtain prior to commencing employment.

  • Current ACECQA approved Child Protection training or willingness to obtain.

  • Current ACECQA approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma certifications or willingness to obtain.

  • Safe Food Handler training or willingness to obtain in accordance with the Food Standards Code and Food Act 2003 (NSW).

  • Sound knowledge of early childhood education and care legislation and regulations, including the My Time Our Place curriculum and National Quality Standards.

  • Demonstrated strengths-based approach in working with children and their families.

  • Self‑motivation, initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Not subject to any restrictions or prohibitions, including suspension, supervision or prohibition notices, or enforceable undertakings.
