Coolamon Shire Council is currently recruiting for suitably qualified Part Time Early Childhood Educators (Min Cert III & Diploma) to support our Room Leaders and broader educator team.
About the Centre
Coolamon Early Childhood Centre is a 47-place service providing care and early education for children aged 0–5 years. The Centre operates from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, and has recently been renovated and extended to include open-plan indoor learning spaces and a large, spacious outdoor playground.
Our educators pride themselves on delivering high-quality education and care in a safe, inclusive environment that values children and family input. We are committed to supporting our team so they can deliver programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
Coolamon Early Childhood Centre is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and empowerment of all children. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and all forms of harm to children. We are committed to the ongoing implementation of the Child Safe Standards to ensure that the wellbeing and safety of children and young people is at the forefront of all that we do and every decision that we make.
About the Roles
Both roles are permanent part-time positions (minimum 15 hours per week).
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in planning, implementing and evaluating engaging learning programs
Observing and documenting children’s development and providing individualised support
Building positive relationships with children, families and the wider community
Maintaining a safe, hygienic environment in line with relevant regulations
Collaborating with the Centre Director and team to improve practices and service quality
Participating in ongoing professional development
What We're Looking For
Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
Previous experience in a long day care or preschool setting (preferred)
Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Current Working with Children Check
Current First Aid Certificate (including asthma and anaphylaxis) or willingness to obtain
Class C Driver’s Licence (desirable)
