About Us:

At Avenues Parkinson we offer more than just education – we offer children the chance to explore, grow, and connect with the world around them in a way that is real, respectful, and rooted in sustainability. We are 200-place service educating children from 6 weeks to 6 years, across 9 rooms. 

Our natural outdoor spaces are an extension of our classrooms. Children learn through gardening, exploring, and engaging with the environment around them. We foster deep connections with our environments by involving children's learning in composting, water conservation, recycling, and caring for our vegetable and bush tucker gardens. They experience the full cycle of growing, harvesting, and tasting fresh produce.

Our friendly Centre chickens are a beloved part of the community. Children learn empathy, responsibility, and the importance of caring for living animals.

About the role

Avenues Parkinson requires float educators to join the Parkinson family, helping to cover educators while they are away on leave or off sick. The successful applicant/s will need to be able to adapt to change, be flexible, and learn each room routine, all while developing bonds with the children, families and educators of the service.   

We believe in consistency of educators and do require float educators that can work 5 days a week, filling different shifts between 6.30am to 6.30pm (7.5-hour shift), ideally the successful candidate/s will have a diploma, or willing to study their diploma, be able to work with any age group and work with many different personalities.  This position will be Permanent Part Time (37.5 hours a week) 

About you:

• Hold a minimum Certificate 3 in ECEC or working towards Diploma of ECEC.

• 2 years’ experience. 

• Hold first aid and CPR.

• Hold a current blue card.

• Have a good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)

• Able to follow policies and procedures.
