The Opportunity

We're looking for a proactive, organised and commercially minded VET in Schools Manager to lead and grow our VETiS business unit.

This is a key leadership role with real ownership. You'll drive the performance, growth and continued development of our VET in Schools programs across Queensland, creating stronger pathways between schools, students, industry and employment. We have big plans for our VETiS space, and this role will be central to making them happen.

You'll be hands-on, relationship-focused and comfortable in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You'll lead the team, support consistent delivery across regions, and play a key role in shaping the future of Major Training Group's VETiS offering.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage the VET in Schools business unit, with a focus on growth, quality and strong student outcomes

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, students, parents, employers, GTOs, ACAPs and industry partners

  • Drive business development activity to expand school partnerships and student numbers

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure programs are coordinated, supported and delivered effectively

  • Support the enrolment, induction and student engagement process across VETiS programs

  • Identify clear career pathways for students and help connect graduates into apprenticeships, traineeships and employment

  • Represent Major Training Group at school visits, career expos, industry events and community engagement opportunities

  • Provide leadership, direction and support to team members in the VETiS space

  • Ensure consistency across regions, including support for our Far North Queensland programs

  • Monitor performance, identify improvements and help build a stronger, more scalable business unit

What We're Looking For

  • A positive, driven and proactive leader who enjoys building relationships and creating opportunities

  • Experience in VET in Schools, education, training, school engagement, business development or industry liaison

  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills

  • A commercial mindset with the ability to grow programs and strengthen partnerships

  • Excellent organisation and time management

  • A genuine passion for helping young people take the first step into their future career

  • Comfortable working hands-on across multiple locations and stakeholders

  • Experience within an RTO or school-based training environment is highly regarded

  • A supportive, high-performing team culture where collaboration and initiative are valued

  • Opportunities for growth and development within a leading RTO

  • The chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people every day
