About the role

MacKillop Catholic College is seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our dedicated teaching team commencing immediately. This is a full-time role based in Palmerston, Northern Territory. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to our secondary school students, inspiring them to excel in this important subject.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and delivering engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the curriculum

• Assessing and providing feedback to students to support their academic progress

• Collaborating with colleagues to create and implement effective teaching strategies

• Maintaining accurate student records and data

• Actively participating in professional development to stay up-to-date with educational best practices

• Supporting the broader pastoral care and extracurricular activities of the college

What we're looking for

• Relevant teaching qualifications and registration to teach in the Northern Territory

• Strong subject knowledge and expertise in Mathematics

• Demonstrated experience in teaching Mathematics at the secondary school level

• Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs

• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
