We are currently seeking an experienced Casual Team Leader to support our In Home and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) services in Christies Downs, delivering high-intensity, complex care.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role, where you will lead by example while supporting both participants and team members in a high-care environment.
You will work closely with the team to ensure safe, high-quality, person-centred care is delivered to participants requiring 1:1 and 2:1 support, including active and passive overnight support.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and supervising shift operations and daily routines
- Providing hands-on support with ADLs, personal care, and mobility
- Supporting high-intensity care needs, including transfers and feeding
- Monitoring and mentoring team members, including new staff
- Ensuring incidents, hazards and documentation are completed accurately
- Monitoring stock levels and maintaining a safe environment
- Coaching staff to deliver person-centred, safe care practices
Participant Support Requirements
You will be supporting participants with complex and high-care needs, including:
- Neurodegenerative conditions and cognitive decline
- Dementia-related behaviours and reduced communication
- High falls risk and impulsive behaviours
- Dysphagia requiring 1:1 supported mealtimes
- Sleep disturbances requiring overnight support
- Continence care and full assistance with daily activities
This role requires confidence in 2:1 supports, including manual handling, hoist transfers, and behavioural support.
About You

- Confidence delivering high-intensity care
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliability, professionalism and a commitment to quality care
Essential Requirements
- Certificate IV in Disability (or higher)
- Current NDIS Worker Check
- DHS Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Unrestricted Driver’s Licence
- Experience in high-intensity/complex care environments
- Medication competency
Highly regarded:
- Experience with dysphagia and mealtime management
- Experience supporting dementia or neurodegenerative conditions
