About the Role 

At Canberra Grammar School, our House system is at the heart of student life. As a Head of Student House, you will be much more than a leader, you will be a mentor, advocate, coach and trusted guide for students as they navigate some of the most important years of their lives.

• Ability to inspire, support and influence students and colleagues while fostering a positive House culture 
• Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development 
• Willingness to engage with contemporary practices in student wellbeing, leadership and education 
• Highly developed organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail 
• Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and meet deadlines 
• Capacity to identify opportunities for improvement and implement practical solutions 
• Ability to respond effectively to challenges with sound judgement and initiative 
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and collegially with School leaders and colleagues 
• Commitment to contributing positively to whole-school initiatives and strategic priorities 
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and families 
• Demonstrated commitment to student wellbeing, pastoral care and fostering a sense of belonging. 

All team members at CGS are required to have: 

• Appropriate qualifications 
• A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card 
• A current National Police Check 
• Full working rights within Australia.
