As a suitable candidate you will:

  • Hold a minimum of a Certificate III in Children’s Services or be working toward a qualification.

  • A minimum of 1 year sector experience.

  • Have a current blue card, first aid certificate and recent CPR certificate and child safety qualifications.

  • Maintain a strong commitment to child safety, wellbeing, and the protection of children at all times.

  • Uphold and actively promote a child safe culture aligned with our policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

  • Build safe, respectful, and nurturing relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

  • Demonstrate professionalism and ethical conduct in line with our Child Safe Environment and Code of Conduct policies.

  • Identify, respond to, and report any child safety concerns in accordance with mandatory reporting obligations.

  • Support an inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and respected.

  • Actively contribute to maintaining supervision, risk management, and safe practices across the service.

  • Be passionate and dedicated with a strong knowledge surrounding play-based education.

  • Have a desire to continuously improve your practices and knowledge through professional development.

  • A strong knowledge of documentation, program and planning, the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.

  • A strong commitment to working as part of an engaged and professional team culture.

  • To be motivated to learn and improve both your own and others practices.
