About the Role

The College is seeking an experienced and energetic Head of Advancement to lead our Advancement team, encompassing communications, marketing, events, enrolments, alumnae relations, and fundraising and philanthropy.

Working closely with the Principal and managing a small, dedicated team, you will take a hands-on role in planning, content development, and delivery across all of these functions — ensuring the College's story is told with clarity, consistency, and authenticity to current and prospective families, alumnae, donors, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

As Head of Advancement, you will:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive advancement strategies aligned to the College's Strategic Plan.

  • Lead the College's marketing and communications strategy, including campaign planning, digital presence, brand consistency, and promotional content.

  • Drive stakeholder engagement and major College events, and support alumnae relations through targeted programs and activities.

  • Develop and implement an effective fundraising and philanthropy strategy, including donor cultivation, grant applications, and campaign reporting.

  • Develop and execute the College's media relations plan, managing media enquiries and building strong media relationships.

  • Lead the College's enrolment strategy, oversee the enrolment pipeline, and coordinate Open Days and school tours.

  • Manage, support, and develop the Advancement team.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience leading a team and delivering outcomes across communications, marketing, events, or related functions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Strong digital communications and social media expertise.

  • Experience with philanthropy, donor and bequest programs, and enrolment management.

  • Experience in the independent education sector is desirable.

How to apply

Please submit the following:

  • A cover letter outlining your interest in the role and addressing the selection criteria. A comprehensive position description is available in the Employment tab on the College website.

  • A current resume, including the names and contact details of three professional referees.

  • Applications should be emailed to The Principal at: emp•••••••@brigidine.nsw.edu.au
