Tradewind Australia is proud to partner with a welcoming, Catholic Primary school near Karingal to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Classroom Teacher for a full-time Term 3 start. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school community known for its supportive leadership, high staff retention, and a strong, collaborative planning culture.
If you are a proactive upper primary teacher who values explicit teaching and strong literacy foundations (including phonics and morphology) and you thrive in a team-based environment, this is a role where you can make a genuine impact for the remainder of the year.
The school is a supportive and people-centred school in the area, backed by a very strong leadership team. You'll join a collaborative planning culture, where the 5/6 team works closely together (three classes functioning as a team) to support consistency and student progress. Teaching at the school is supported through the use of Ochre units for explicit teaching, with strong resources already in place to strengthen morphology, explicit instruction, and phonics.
In this 5/6 role, you'll be responsible for delivering consistent, engaging instruction across an upper primary cohort, contributing to a team-based structure where planning and practices are shared. The school is seeking a teacher who can confidently manage the classroom while using systematic approaches to build strong literacy foundations. You'll step into a setting where resources and teaching structures are already established, and where staff retention is high-reflecting a positive, stable school culture.
