KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Delivering engaging and interactive ESL lessons tailored to the needs of students.

  • Integrating content related to Science, Business Development, Public Speaking, and Sustainability into the ESL curriculum.

  • Providing constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their English language skills.

  • Collaborating with other program instructors to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

  • Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Tracking students' progress and effectively communicating with BlueSky Education management, key facilitators at the study camps, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Leading morning ESL classes using Blue Sky's established lesson plans and curriculum.

  • Coordinating welcome games, team-building activities, and farewell ceremonies for students.

  • Providing end of end of study tour reports based on students' performance.

  • Judging student final presentations and talent shows.

REQUIREMENT

Candidates best suited for this role should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in an educational area of study.

  • ESL teaching qualifications such as TESOL or CELTA

  • 3-5 years of ESL teaching experience with a focus on non-native speaking students in the 12-17 age group.

  • Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) for Paid Employment

  • Full working rights in Australia.

  • Strong local knowledge of the city where the programme is conducted.

  • Computer literate with proven administrative competence

WORKING CONDITIONS

  1. The teaching classes run from 8:30am to 12:00pm daily. Teachers are not required to work the full day. In exceptional cases, the teacher may be required for full days.

  2. Teachers will work at university campuses in their respective Australian cities. Common universities where classes are held include: 

  • Macquarie University, Sydney

  • Western Sydney University 

  • Melbourne University

  • University of Queensland

  • University of Adelaide

  • University of Western Australia, Perth
