Babies Room Leader – Kradle 2 Krayons Long Day Care Center

Kradle 2 Krayons Long Day Care Center is seeking a passionate, experienced and dedicated Babies Room Leader to join our well-established childcare centre in Penrith.

We are a 60-place, family-owned and operated centre with a strong reputation in the local community. Our team is committed to providing high-quality education and care in a warm, supportive and professional environment where children, families and educators feel valued.

About the Role

As the Babies Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of the babies room, supporting educators, building strong relationships with families, and ensuring high-quality care and educational programs are delivered in line with the EYLF and National Quality Framework.

This role would suit an experienced educator who is confident leading a room, mentoring team members, and creating a nurturing, safe and engaging learning environment for infants.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the babies room team in daily practices and routines

• Develop and implement quality educational programs based on children’s interests, needs and developmental stages

• Maintain strong documentation, observations and planning cycle practices

• Build respectful and professional relationships with children, families and staff

• Ensure compliance with the EYLF, National Quality Standards, Education and Care Services National Regulations and relevant laws

• Support a positive team culture and contribute to the overall success of the centre

• Maintain a safe, clean, inclusive and welcoming environment for children

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar room leader or senior educator role

• Sound understanding of the EYLF, National Quality Framework, Regulations, laws and planning cycle

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent teamwork skills and a positive, professional attitude

• Confidence in mentoring and supporting other educators

• Strong technical skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva, OWNA or similar childcare software

• A genuine passion for working with babies and supporting their learning and development

• Relevant early childhood qualification

• Current Working With Children Check

• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates, or willingness to obtain
