We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Registrar to join our higher education team in Brisbane. This is a key leadership and compliance role at the heart of our academic administration — ideal for someone with a strong background in higher education governance and student records management.
About the role
Reporting to senior leadership, the Registrar is responsible for the governance, integrity and management of all student academic records, enrolment processes and regulatory compliance across the institution. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the college meets its obligations under TEQSA and the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF).
Key responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of student enrolment, re-enrolment, transfers, withdrawals and graduations
Maintain the integrity and accuracy of student academic records and transcripts
Manage course credit, recognition of prior learning (RPL) and advanced standing processes
Ensure compliance with TEQSA registration requirements and the Higher Education Standards Framework
Coordinate academic calendar, examination scheduling and results processing
Administer student appeals, academic misconduct procedures and grievance processes
Prepare and submit statutory reporting including HEIMS/HEIMSHELP data
Develop, review and maintain academic policies, procedures and governance documentation
Liaise with academic staff, faculty heads and external regulatory bodies
Provide advice to students on enrolment matters, academic policies and progression requirements
Support the institution through TEQSA audits, re-registration and quality reviews
About you
Demonstrated experience in a Registrar, Deputy Registrar or senior academic administration role within higher education
Strong knowledge of TEQSA requirements and the Higher Education Standards Framework
Experience with HEIMS/HEIMSHELP reporting
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Relevant degree qualification (essential); postgraduate qualifications in higher education administration, law or governance desirable
