About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and engaging Saxophone and Woodwind Tutor to join our vibrant music program.

• Casual, term-time position

• Preferred start 13 July 2026 (Term 3)

• Hours are dependent on student enrolments and may vary from term to term. It is anticipated that the role will involve approximately one day per week, with a view to increasing this in time depending on enrolments

• Teaching range: Beginner to advanced students (Year 5 to Year 12), including large group Year 5 lessons  on Thursday afternoons

• Tuition rate based on qualifications and experience

About You

The ideal candidate displays an obvious drive and passion for instrumental programs. With an engaging communication style and a positive attitude, you will have demonstrated ability to build rapport and interact effectively at all levels of the College. 

Key requirements of the position include:

• Successful applicants will be enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated, hard-working and able to communicate effectively with students and their parents, as well as College music and administration staff.

• Tertiary pedagogy qualifications and previous teaching experience (in schools or privately) preferred.

• Ability to teach beginner through to advanced students; and provide students with good foundational technical skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with students including the use of appropriate interpersonal skills, and the ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive learning environment.

• An understanding of the need to work collaboratively with school staff and members of the wider community in order to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes.
