At Carers Queensland we are seeking an experienced, passionate, engaging and qualified Trainer & Assessor to take a lead role in providing high-quality training with our students and help shape the future of care.

You will provide high-quality, engaging and practical training, through delivery of interactive online training, practical face-to-face sessions (various locations), as well support student with site visits during placement and contribute to the on-going development and enhancement of our curriculum – This role is offered as an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality training and assessment across online and face-to-face environments, adapting delivery methods to support diverse learner needs and maximise student success.
  • Provide ongoing student support through regular communication, coaching, feedback, and progress monitoring to encourage engagement, retention, and course completion.
  • Assess student competency, conduct workplace visits where required, and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant assessment and student records.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training and assessment practices through resource development, validation, moderation, and quality assurance activities.
  • Support Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and other assessment pathways, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant assessment outcomes.
  • Maintain current vocational competency and a strong working knowledge of VET compliance requirements, including the Standards for RTOs, training package requirements, and industry best practice.

Do you?

  • Hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor qualification.
  • Have a minimum Certificate III in Individual Support in Aging and Disability stream AND OR Community Services?
  • Have at least 2 years relevant industry working experience.
  • Have evidence of industry currency within the last 12 months.
  • Have high-level communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build rapport quickly and adapt skills according to the audience or target group involved
