Join our dynamic team as a Casual Technical Officer, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining our cutting-edge creative facilities, supporting students during practical sessions, and ensuring a safe and organised environment. Responsibilities include: 

• Maintain and oversee the campus's cutting-edge film, music, and audio equipment, ensuring all facilities are fully operational and organised.
• Provide technical support and guidance to students during practical sessions, fostering a safe and creative learning environment. 
• Monitor and uphold Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards, addressing faults promptly and ensuring compliance across facilities.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including responding to inquiries and coordinating equipment bookings and maintenance schedules.
• Contribute to campus activities by supporting promotional events and showcasing the institute's state-of-the-art facilities.
• Collaborate with academic and technical teams to enhance resource availability and improve the student experience.

Our ideal candidate can demonstrate the following essential skills and experience: 

• Strong technical expertise and industry experience in audio, music production, and/or filmmaking, including proficiency in studio and location equipment, lighting, camera, and grip workflows.
• Degree qualification or equivalent professional experience in audio or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
• A passion for supporting students to reach their potential, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and student support.
• Outstanding organisational and communication skills, a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. 
• Flexibility to work evenings and Saturday's as required.
