Response Group International (RGI) is an integrated, organisational development group with a history of 30+ years of work supporting organisations, communities and people. We provide integrated offerings across research, organisational development, accredited and non-accredited education at all levels in organisations as well as using a range of face-to-face, online and blended methods.
We are the largest provider in Australia in our field in technical training and operate within a diverse business supporting clients in a broad range of services and industries. Our RTO work is 100% workplace based with trainers working either regularly on site with clients or coming onsite for specific workshops (these can also be delivered online).
Our trainers have an excellent understanding of the workplace needs and know their trainees, supervisors, managers and the employees at each site. Many of them also undertake various work for clients and/or are included in some workplace activities so easily maintain vocational currency.

We are looking for someone to work within our RTO team, to support the work that they do in maintaining the quality of our delivery both accredited and non-accredited.
We need someone who has the skills and experience to jump straight in and isn't afraid of rolling up their sleeves to get the job done. You need to be able to work within a small team, have a sense of humour and a 'how can we make this work' attitude while maintaining a focus on quality of delivery.
Reports to: RTO Manager
Role purpose:
To support the sustainable operations of our RTO so that we maintain quality whilst meeting the needs of our clients
Role overview
As the RTO quality officer, you will have a good understanding of the day to day running of an RTO as well as the standards for RTO's. This role will be on a casual basis, supporting our RTO manager as needed with quality and compliance activities, monitoring of trainer and assessor currency required and preparing for and supporting internal and external audits. This is a hybrid role working in our Brisbane office with the flexibility to work from home.
Core work:
Supporting key annual compliance activities in the business (Audit websites, enrolment forms, funding activities, process improvement, moderation and pre-use validation of training products etc).
Supporting the process for issuance of qualifications and certificates (Provide Quality Assurance of submitted assessments, reviewing evidence / packaging rules for certification)
Reviewing and supporting trainers with updating their currency and competency matrixes
Supporting the RTO manager in preparing for participating in internal and external audits
Support the business SMEs and Operations teams with development of compliant training products (assessments, resources, TAS documentation etc).
There may also be a requirement to support the RTO officer role to process and report student enrolments
Qualifications and experience:
Demonstrated experience working in a small to medium sized RTO
Availability on a casual basis to support our team as required
Experience using a student management system as part of requirements to manage enrolments to VET and funding standards (preferably Axcelerate)
Experience navigating and using LMS systems to view, QA and check active courses and learning evidence (Canvas and Cloud Assess experience preferred)
Current qualification in TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Previous experience with the Food/Meat processing industries would be advantageous but not essential
Proven experience in preparing for, and participating in external and internal audits
Confident in use of digital technology and systems in your day-to-day work
