Educational Leader / Assistant Director Full-Time | Permanent | Northcote, VIC

ANZUK Education is partnering with a highly regarded, community-based early learning service in Northcote to recruit an experienced Educational Leader. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about pedagogy, enjoys mentoring educators, and wants to join a service with a strong, established culture and genuine commitment to quality practice.

The role is primarily focused on educational leadership, with some Assistant Director responsibilities including rostering and operational support. 

About the Service
This is a long-standing, not-for-profit service with a strong community reputation and a collaborative, values-driven team culture. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading curriculum development and educational practice across the service
• Mentoring and coaching educators across all experience levels
• Driving reflective practice and continuous improvement
• Supporting Quality Improvement Planning and compliance requirements
• Embedding the EYLF, VEYLDF, NQF, and NQS into everyday practice
• Supporting rostering, administration, and operational leadership
• Assisting the Centre Director and stepping into leadership when required

About You
We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher
• Has experience in an Educational Leader or Assistant Director
• Is confident mentoring and developing educators in practice
• Has strong knowledge of the NQF, NQS, EYLF, and VEYLDF
• Brings a collaborative, grounded approach to team culture
• Can balance pedagogical leadership with operational responsibilities

• Salary package approx. $95,000 – $100,000 (inclusive of retention payments)
• 5 weeks annual leave
