About us
Torquay Early Learning Centre is a not-for-profit community-based Centre and offers childcare in a long day-care setting with integrated 3 year old and 4 year old kindergarten programs. Our 130 place Centre is set apart by its exceptionally large natural play-spaces and not-for-profit ethos. We promote cultural safety for Aboriginal children, cultural safety for children from diverse backgrounds and provide a safe environment for children with a disability. Requirements:
Hold or be working towards a Certificate III, Diploma level early childhood qualification (ACECQA approved) or a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education
Hold current First Aid qualifications, including Asthma, Anaphylaxis and CPR training
Hold a current Working with Children Check
Completed mandatory child safety training
Good understanding of VEYLDF and NQF
Demonstrated experience will be an advantage
Responsibilities:
Deliver innovative and high-quality educational programs for each individual child
Contribute to the team of passionate educators within your room whilst incorporating best practice at all times
Ensure learning and development is consistent with the EYLF/VEYLDF
Support a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement
Develop respectful relationships with families to support each child's learning.
Act within the requirements of the Centre's Code of Conduct, Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy and Complaints Policy.
