About the Role

The Education, Training & Engagement Officer delivers and coordinates high-quality, trauma-informed and person-centred Gender- Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response education for staff and students at UTS, including where GBV intersects with other forms of discrimination and structural inequality. The role exercises professional judgement in coordinating evidence-informed training across diverse cohorts and contexts, including student accommodation and online environments. This supports the implementation of the UTS GBV Prevention & Response Action Plan 2026 and contributes to the University's obligations under the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to GBV.


About You

As the Education, Training & Engagement Officer, you will have: 

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering and coordinating education, training or capability-building programs, ideally in GBV, sexual harm or prevention-focused content areas.
  • Experience engaging diverse stakeholders in a large, complex or devolved organisation, preferably in higher-education or community settings, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and contexts.
  • Experience developing education and learning materials and resources informed by evidence, evaluation and good practice.
  • Experience engaging working with GBV-related contexts, with the ability to manage sensitivity, respond appropriately to resistance or backlash, maintain professional boundaries and model safe, ethical practice.
  • Experience collecting, interpreting or applying evaluation data to inform program improvement and education delivery outcomes.

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $109,014 - $120,596 pa (HEW 7)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a Fixed term basis for 2 Years.
