With two campuses, St Nicks Hellenica and St Nicks Botanica, and continued growth across both locations, we are working towards a leadership model that includes three Educational Leaders across our services, each holding overarching responsibility for a key age group: Infants, Toddlers, or Preschool.
This position offers the opportunity to help shape that vision while gaining valuable experience across both educational leadership and centre operations.
This is a full-time position combining a mix of contact and non-contact responsibilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with our leadership team to:
Drive curriculum development and educational excellence across the service
Mentor and coach educators to strengthen teaching practice
Support implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework, Reggio-inspired practice, and Conscious Discipline principles
Lead reflective practice, documentation, and continuous improvement processes
Assist with family engagement, enrolments, staffing support, and day-to-day centre operations
Support quality improvement planning and regulatory compliance
Contribute to the development of our emerging multi-campus leadership structure
This role provides exposure to many aspects of Centre Director responsibilities while maintaining a strong focus on educational leadership.
To be considered for this role, you will:
Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, or equivalent qualification
Have substantial experience in a leadership position such as Room Leader, Educational Leader, Assistant Director, or Centre Director
Demonstrate a strong understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment for learning
Be confident mentoring educators and leading professional growth
Have excellent organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills
Be passionate about creating high-quality learning environments for children, families, and educators
St Nicks Early Learning is a warm, community-focused early education service grounded in creative, meaningful learning.
Across our service, we embed:
Reggio-inspired, project-based learning
Conscious Discipline principles supporting emotional regulation and connection
Bush Kindy and gardening programs
Weekly sports and physical literacy sessions
Strong partnerships with families and the local community
We believe children are capable, competent learners and strive to create environments that foster curiosity, creativity, belonging, and wellbeing.
A leadership role with genuine influence across the services
A mix of contact and non-contact time
Mentoring and support from an experienced leadership team
Opportunities to contribute to strategic growth and service development
A pathway toward senior leadership and Centre Director opportunities
Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience
If you are an experienced educator or leader looking for an opportunity to shape practice, mentor others, and grow into broader leadership responsibilities, we would love to hear from you.
