About the Role
The Project Lead, Engaging Men in GBV Prevention will lead a program of work to design and coordinate initiatives focused on engaging men in the prevention of gender-based violence (GBV) and the promotion of healthy masculinities at UTS. The program will be undertaken in alignment with UTS's Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response Action Plan and the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-Based Violence (2025). Drawing on contemporary evidence and best practice in primary prevention and early intervention, the role will undertake consultation and co-development with students, staff and other stakeholders to identify priorities and approaches appropriate to the UTS context. The role will apply creative and evidence-informed approaches to translate these insights into a practical, tailored project plan and coordinate implementation of priority initiatives to strengthen effective and sustainable GBV prevention at UTS.
About You
As the Project Lead, you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the drivers of gender-based violence and contemporary evidence-based approaches to prevention, including working with men and boys.
- Demonstrated experience in co-design and co-development with diverse stakeholder groups in complex organisational or institutional contexts.
- Experience engaging students and staff in consultation or program design activities within an education setting or complex environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based prevention approaches relevant to engaging men, including primary prevention, healthy masculinities, bystander intervention and men as allies or advocates.
- Demonstrated ability to develop practical, implementable project plans informed by evidence, consultation and organisational context.
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesise evidence and stakeholder input into clear, actionable outputs.
- Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and deliver project outcomes within tight timeframes.
- Capacity to think creatively and innovate within established evidence-based and ethical frameworks.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, and the capacity to engage in robust conversations and influence others.

Remuneration
Base Salary Range: $109,014 - $120,596 pa (HEW 7)
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
