Our Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging full-time Science Teacher to join
us from the beginning of Term 4, 2026 until the end of 2027. Within our science
department you will find a dynamic, inspiring and collaborative team working
towards achieving great outcomes for our students. This department love all
things science, so if Bunsen burners, cell diagrams and microscopes are your
thing, you will be in excellent company.
Responsibilities include:
Deliver outstanding teaching that supports strong student learning outcomes across a variety of ability levels, predominantly working with years 7 to 10.
Plan and execute learning programs aligned with the prescribed curriculum that challenge all students.
Possess a thorough understanding of contemporary learning approaches and demonstrate the ability to critically reflect on and improve teaching practices
Building positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents, fostering an environment conducive to learning and enthusiasm
Meeting assessment and reporting deadlines.
Contribute enthusiastically and meaningfully to the continuous growth of our fantastic science department
Engage with passion in all areas of Kingswood College life
Uphold the values and vision of Kingswood College, contributing positively to our community
About you:
Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
Suitably qualified in your teaching method or methods
Ability to teach up to VCE Biology/Psychology would be an advantage
Passion for science, learning, and working with children
Exhibit strong organisational and planning skills, with an ability to manage multiple demands and timelines.
Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with students, staff, parents, and other members of our College community.
Collaborative and enjoy working within a team with an adaptable, growth mindset
