Fixed-Term Contract (6 Months) | Coorparoo

Villanova College is seeking a classroom teacher to join our Middle School Team on a fixed-term basis, commencing Term 3, 2026 teaching Maths/Science.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced teacher, or one returning to the classroom, to work in a well-resourced and genuinely supportive environment during a significant semester in the lives of our Middle School students.

The Role

Working within our Middle School teaching team, the successful candidate will:

• Deliver high-quality classroom teaching across the Middle School in Maths/Science areas

• Build positive, supportive relationships with students

• Collaborate with the Middle School pastoral and academic team to monitor student wellbeing and progress

• Contribute to curriculum planning and assessment aligned to ACARA requirements

• Participate in co-curricular and community life of the College

• Support the Catholic and Augustinian mission of the College in daily professional practice

About You

The successful applicant will:

• Hold a Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification

• Hold current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration

• Demonstrate experience or genuine enthusiasm for teaching in the early secondary years

• Show a strong commitment to student wellbeing and holistic development

• Work collaboratively within a team and contribute positively to faculty and College culture

• Embrace the Catholic and Augustinian ethos of Villanova College
